clk: ti: Improve clksel clock bit parsing for reg property Because of legacy reasons, the TI clksel composite clocks can have overlapping reg properties, and use a custom ti,bit-shift property. For the clksel clocks we can start using of the standard reg property instead of the custom ti,bit-shift property. To do this, let's add a ti_clk_get_legacy_bit_shift() helper, and make ti_clk_get_reg_addr() populate the clock bit offset. clk: ti: Handle possible address in the node name In order to use #address-cells = <1> and start making use of the standard reg property, let's prepare things to ignore the possible address in the clock node name. Unless the clock-output-names property is used, the legacy clocks still fall back to matching the clock data based on the node name. We use cleanup.h to simplify the return path for freeing tmp. clk: ti: change ti_clk_register[_omap_hw]() API The ti_clk_register() and ti_clk_register_omap_hw() functions are always called with the parameter of type "struct device" set to NULL, since the functions from which they are called always have a parameter of type "struct device_node". Replacing "struct device" type parameter with "struct device_node" will allow you to register a TI clock to the common clock framework by taking advantage of the facilities provided by the "struct device_node" type. Further, adding the "of_" prefix to the name of these functions explicitly binds them to the "struct device_node" type. The patch has been tested on a Beaglebone board. clk: ti: clkctrl: Fix hidden dependency to node name We currently have a hidden dependency to the device tree node name for the clkctrl clocks. Instead of using standard node name like "clock", we must use "l4-per-clkctrl" type naming so the clock driver can find the associated clock domain. Further, if "clk" is specified for a clock node name, the driver sets TI_CLK_CLKCTRL_COMPAT flag that uses different logic for the clock name based on the parent node name for the all the clkctrl clocks for the SoC. If the clock node naming dependency is not understood, the related clockdomain is not found, or a wrong one can get used if a clock manager has multiple clock domains. As each clkctrl instance represents a single clock domain, let's allow using domain specific compatible names to specify the clock domain. This simplifies things and removes the hidden dependency to the node name. And then later on, after the node names have been standardized, we can drop the related code for parsing the node names. Let's also update the binding to use standard "clock" node naming instead of "clk" and add the missing description for reg. memblock: stop using implicit alignment to SMP_CACHE_BYTES When a memblock allocation APIs are called with align = 0, the alignment is implicitly set to SMP_CACHE_BYTES. Implicit alignment is done deep in the memblock allocator and it can come as a surprise. Not that such an alignment would be wrong even when used incorrectly but it is better to be explicit for the sake of clarity and the prinicple of the least surprise. Replace all such uses of memblock APIs with the 'align' parameter explicitly set to SMP_CACHE_BYTES and stop implicit alignment assignment in the memblock internal allocation functions. For the case when memblock APIs are used via helper functions, e.g. like iommu_arena_new_node() in Alpha, the helper functions were detected with Coccinelle's help and then manually examined and updated where appropriate. clk: ti: convert to use proper register definition for all accesses Currently, TI clock driver uses an encapsulated struct that is cast into a void pointer to store all register addresses. This can be considered as rather nasty hackery, and prevents from expanding the register address field also. Instead, replace all the code to use proper struct in place for this, which contains all the previously used data. This patch is rather large as it is touching multiple files, but this can't be split up as we need to avoid any boot breakage. clk: ti: add core support for initializing legacy clocks Legacy clock data for OMAP3 is being moved under clock driver, thus base support for this is needed. This patch adds basic definitions for clock init descriptors and core infrastructure for initialization, which will be called from the OMAP3 clock init. clk: ti: change clock init to use generic of_clk_init Previously, the TI clock driver initialized all the clocks hierarchically under each separate clock provider node. Now, each clock that requires IO access will instead check their parent node to find out which IO range to use. This patch allows the TI clock driver to use a few new features provided by the generic of_clk_init, and also allows registration of clock nodes outside the clock hierarchy (for example, any external clocks.) CLK: ti: add init support for clock IP blocks ti_dt_clk_init_provider() can now be used to initialize the contents of a single clock IP block. This parses all the clocks under the IP block and calls the corresponding init function for them. This patch also introduces a helper function for the TI clock drivers to get register info from DT and append the master IP info to this. CLK: TI: add DT alias clock registration mechanism Some devices require their clocks to be available with a specific dev-id con-id mapping. With DT, the clocks can be found by default only with their name, or alternatively through the device node of the consumer. With drivers, that don't support DT fully yet, add mechanism to register specific clock names.
