The way to change the C++ API to 17return errors rather than throw exceptions is via a flag on the DbEnv or 18Db constructor. For example:</p> 19<blockquote><pre>int dberr; 20DbEnv *dbenv = new DbEnv(DB_CXX_NO_EXCEPTIONS);</pre></blockquote> 21<p>creates an environment that will never throw exceptions, and method 22returns should be checked instead.</p> 23<p>There are a number of smaller changes to the API that bring the C, C++ 24and Java APIs much closer in terms of functionality and usage. Please 25refer to the pages for upgrading C applications for further details.</p> 26<table width="100%"><tr><td><br></td><td align=right><a href="../upgrade.3.0/db_cxx.html"><img src="../../images/prev.gif" alt="Prev"></a><a href="../toc.html"><img src="../../images/ref.gif" alt="Ref"></a><a href="../upgrade.3.0/java.html"><img src="../../images/next.gif" alt="Next"></a> 27</td></tr></table> 28<p><font size=1>Copyright (c) 1996,2008 Oracle.
