1*os_mint.txt* For Vim version 7.3. Last change: 2005 Mar 29 2 3 4 VIM REFERENCE MANUAL by Jens M. Felderhoff 5 6 7 *MiNT* *Atari* 8This file contains the particularities for the Atari MiNT version of Vim. 9 10For compiling Vim on the Atari running MiNT see "INSTALL" and "Makefile" 11in the src directory. 12 13Vim for MiNT behaves almost exactly like the Unix version. 14The Unix behavior described in the documentation also refers to the 15MiNT version of Vim unless explicitly stated otherwise. 16 17For wildcard expansion of <~> (home directory) you need a shell that 18expands the tilde. The vanilla Bourne shell doesn't recognize it. 19With csh and ksh it should work OK. 20 21The MiNT version of vim needs the termcap file /etc/termcap with the 22terminal capabilities of your terminal. Builtin termcaps are 23supported for the vt52 terminal. Termcap entries for the TOSWIN window 24manager and the virtual console terminals have been appended to the 25termcap file that comes with the Vim distribution. 26 27If you should encounter problems with swapped <BS> and <Del> keys, see 28|:fixdel|. 29 30Because terminal updating under MiNT is often slow (e.g. serial line 31terminal), the 'showcmd' and 'ruler' options are default off. 32If you have a fast terminal, try setting them on. You might 33also want to set 'ttyfast'. 34 35Send bug reports to 36 37 Jens M. Felderhoff, e-mail: <jmf@infko.uni-koblenz.de> 38 39 vim:tw=78:ts=8:ft=help:norl: 40
