31Description(berkdb envremove)
32
Remove a Berkeley DB environment.

33
The options are as follows:

34
35-data_dir dirname

Specify the environment's data directory, as described in
36Berkeley DB File Naming.

37-force

If there are processes that have called berkdb env without calling
38env close (that is, there are processes currently using the
39environment), berkdb envremove will fail without further action, unless
40the -force flag is set, in which case berkdb envremove will
41attempt to remove the environment regardless of any processes still
42using it.

43-home directory

The -home argument is described in
44Berkeley DB File Naming.

45-log_dir dirname

Specify the environment's log directory, as described in
46Berkeley DB File Naming.

47-tmp_dir dirname

Specify the environment's tmp directory, as described in
48Berkeley DB File Naming.

49-use_environ

The Berkeley DB process' environment may be permitted to specify information
50to be used when naming files; see
51Berkeley DB File Naming.
52Because permitting users to specify which files are used can create
53security problems, environment information will be used in file naming
54for all users only if the -use_environ flag is set.

55-use_environ_root

The Berkeley DB process' environment may be permitted to specify information
56to be used when naming files; see
57Berkeley DB File Naming.
58As permitting users to specify which files are used can create security
59problems, if the -use_environ_root flag is set, environment
60information will be used for file naming only for users with appropriate
61permissions (for example, users with a user-ID of 0 on IEEE/ANSI Std 1003.1 (POSIX)
62systems).

63
64
The berkdb envremove command returns 0 on success, and in the case of error, a Tcl error
65is thrown.
