Revert "Merge patch series "pxe: Allow extlinux booting without CMDLINE enabled""

As reported by Jonas Karlman this series breaks booting on some AArch64
platforms with common use cases. For now the best path forward is to
revert the series.

This reverts commit 777c28460947371ada40868dc994dfe8537d7115, reversing
changes made to ab3453e7b12daef47b9e91da2a2a3d48615dc6fc.

the command line enabled.

bootm: Add a Kconfig option for bootm functionality

Create a separate Kconfig option which enables the bootm logic,
separate from the 'bootm' command. This will eventually allow booting
without CMDLINE enabled.

Update boards which disable CMD_BOOTM to disable BOOTM instead, since
CMD_BOOTM now depends on BOOTM

mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menu

The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various
things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce
this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you
still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places
that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do
this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but
need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it
wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied.

arm: Disable SPL_FS_FAT when it isn't used

Several boards enable SPL_FS_FAT and SPL_LIBDISK_SUPPORT when they can't be
used (as there is no block device support enabled). Disable these configs.
The list of boards was generated with the following command:

$ tools/qconfig.py -f SPL SPL_FS_FAT ~SPL_MMC ~SPL_BLK_FS ~SPL_SATA \
~SPL_USB_STORAGE ~ENV_IS_IN_FAT ~EFI

LIBDISK was left enabled for the am* boards, since it seems to result in
actual size reduction, indicating that partitions are being used for
something.

The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE
and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL().

Rename it to resolve this problem.

ARM: zynq: Change SYS_MALLOC_LEN in zynq_cse_nand_defconfig

nand_scan_tail() function allocates memory dynamically for
struct nand_buffers which needs ~21kbytes of memory. But the
memory alloted with CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN is 4k which is insufficient.
Increase CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN to 32Kbytes from which struct
nand_buffers uses ~21kbytes & remaining memory is used for other.

While converting CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF to Kconfig, there are instances
where these configuration items are conditional on SPL. This commit adds SPL
variants of these configuration items, uses CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(), and updates
the configurations as required.

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to Kconfig

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig
parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two
parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found.

All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are
for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv,
and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code
under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined
include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which
include these symbols.

These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py.

ARM: zynq: Change SYS_MALLOC_LEN in zynq_cse_nand_defconfig

nand_scan_tail() function allocates memory dynamically for
struct nand_buffers which needs ~21kbytes of memory. But the
memory alloted with CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN is 4k which is insufficient.
Increase CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN to 32Kbytes from which struct
nand_buffers uses ~21kbytes & remaining memory is used for other.

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to Kconfig

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig
parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two
parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found.

All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are
for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv,
and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code
under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined
include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which
include these symbols.

These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py.

mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menu

The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various
things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce
this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you
still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places
that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do
this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but
need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it
wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied.

Convert CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT et al to Kconfig

ARM: zynq: Change SYS_MALLOC_LEN in zynq_cse_nand_defconfig

nand_scan_tail() function allocates memory dynamically for
struct nand_buffers which needs ~21kbytes of memory. But the
memory alloted with CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN is 4k which is insufficient.
Increase CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN to 32Kbytes from which struct
nand_buffers uses ~21kbytes & remaining memory is used for other.

While converting CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF to Kconfig, there are instances
where these configuration items are conditional on SPL. This commit adds SPL
variants of these configuration items, uses CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(), and updates
the configurations as required.

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to Kconfig

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig
parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two
parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found.

All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are
for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv,
and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code
under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined
include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which
include these symbols.

These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py.

mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menu

The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various
things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce
this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you
still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places
that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do
this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but
need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it
wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied.

arm: Disable SPL_FS_FAT when it isn't used

Several boards enable SPL_FS_FAT and SPL_LIBDISK_SUPPORT when they can't be
used (as there is no block device support enabled). Disable these configs.
The list of boards was generated with the following command:

$ tools/qconfig.py -f SPL SPL_FS_FAT ~SPL_MMC ~SPL_BLK_FS ~SPL_SATA \
~SPL_USB_STORAGE ~ENV_IS_IN_FAT ~EFI

LIBDISK was left enabled for the am* boards, since it seems to result in
actual size reduction, indicating that partitions are being used for
something.

Convert CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT et al to Kconfig

This converts the following to Kconfig:

ARM: zynq: Change SYS_MALLOC_LEN in zynq_cse_nand_defconfig

nand_scan_tail() function allocates memory dynamically for
struct nand_buffers which needs ~21kbytes of memory. But the
memory alloted with CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN is 4k which is insufficient.
Increase CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN to 32Kbytes from which struct
nand_buffers uses ~21kbytes & remaining memory is used for other.

env: Add CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR symbol

Today in initr_reloc_global_data() we use some non-obvious tests to
determine if we need to relocate the env_addr within gd or not. In
order to facilitate migration of other symbols to Kconfig we need to
introduce a new symbol for this particular use case.

Both are together in one commit, since otherwise the former causes kconfig
to define the latter, which gives duplicate symbol errors.

Includes a manual fixup for CONFIG_PREBOOT in ids8313_defconfig since the
backslash lands in the wrong place. Similarly with socfpga_vining_fpga.

CONFIG_SPL_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: add

While converting CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF to Kconfig, there are instances
where these configuration items are conditional on SPL. This commit adds SPL
variants of these configuration items, uses CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(), and updates
the configurations as required.

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to Kconfig

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig
parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two
parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found.

All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are
for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv,
and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code
under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined
include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which
include these symbols.

These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py.

arm: Disable SPL_FS_FAT when it isn't used

Several boards enable SPL_FS_FAT and SPL_LIBDISK_SUPPORT when they can't be
used (as there is no block device support enabled). Disable these configs.
The list of boards was generated with the following command:

$ tools/qconfig.py -f SPL SPL_FS_FAT ~SPL_MMC ~SPL_BLK_FS ~SPL_SATA \
~SPL_USB_STORAGE ~ENV_IS_IN_FAT ~EFI

LIBDISK was left enabled for the am* boards, since it seems to result in
actual size reduction, indicating that partitions are being used for
something.

ARM: zynq: Change SYS_MALLOC_LEN in zynq_cse_nand_defconfig

nand_scan_tail() function allocates memory dynamically for
struct nand_buffers which needs ~21kbytes of memory. But the
memory alloted with CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN is 4k which is insufficient.
Increase CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN to 32Kbytes from which struct
nand_buffers uses ~21kbytes & remaining memory is used for other.

env: Add CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR symbol

Today in initr_reloc_global_data() we use some non-obvious tests to
determine if we need to relocate the env_addr within gd or not. In
order to facilitate migration of other symbols to Kconfig we need to
introduce a new symbol for this particular use case.

Convert CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT and CONFIG_PREBOOT to Kconfig

This converts the following to Kconfig:
CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT
CONFIG_PREBOOT

Both are together in one commit, since otherwise the former causes kconfig
to define the latter, which gives duplicate symbol errors.

Includes a manual fixup for CONFIG_PREBOOT in ids8313_defconfig since the
backslash lands in the wrong place. Similarly with socfpga_vining_fpga.

CONFIG_SPL_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: add

While converting CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF to Kconfig, there are instances
where these configuration items are conditional on SPL. This commit adds SPL
variants of these configuration items, uses CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(), and updates
the configurations as required.

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to Kconfig

CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig
parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two
parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found.

All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are
for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv,
and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code
under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined
include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which
include these symbols.

These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py.

Rename CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE to CONFIG_TEXT_BASE

The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE
and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL().

Rename it to resolve this problem.
