media: uapi: Add controls for the THP7312 ISP The THP7312 is an external ISP from THine. As such, it implements a large number of parameters to control all aspects of the image processing. Many of those controls are already standard in V4L2, but some are fairly device-specific. Reserve a range of 32 controls for the device. The driver will implement 4 device-specific controls to start with, define and document them. 28 additional device-specific controls should be enough for future development. media: v4l2-ctrls: Add V4L2_CID_NOTIFY_GAINS control We add a new control V4L2_CID_NOTIFY_GAINS which allows the sensor to be notified what gains will be applied to the different colour channels by subsequent processing (such as by an ISP), even though the sensor will not apply any of these gains itself. For Bayer sensors this will be an array control taking 4 values which are the 4 gains arranged in the fixed order B, Gb, Gr and R, irrespective of the exact Bayer order of the sensor itself. The use of an array makes it straightforward to extend this control to non-Bayer sensors (for example, sensors with an RGBW pattern) in future. The units are in all cases linear with the default value indicating a gain of exactly 1.0. For example, if the default value were reported as 128 then the value 192 would represent a gain of exactly 1.5. media: atmel: atmel-isc-base: expose white balance as v4l2 controls This exposes the white balance configuration of the ISC as v4l2 controls into userspace. There are 8 controls available: 4 gain controls, sliders, for each of the BAYER components: R, B, GR, GB. These gains are multipliers for each component, in format unsigned 0:4:9 with a default value of 512 (1.0 multiplier). 4 offset controls, sliders, for each of the BAYER components: R, B, GR, GB. These offsets are added/substracted from each component, in format signed 1:12:0 with a default value of 0 (+/- 0) To expose this to userspace, added 8 custom controls, in an auto cluster. To summarize the functionality: The auto cluster switch is the auto white balance control, and it works like this: AWB == 1: autowhitebalance is on, the do_white_balance button is inactive, the gains/offsets are inactive, but volatile and readable. Thus, the results of the whitebalance algorithm are available to userspace to read at any time. AWB == 0: autowhitebalance is off, cluster is in manual mode, user can configure the gain/offsets directly. More than that, if the do_white_balance button is pressed, the driver will perform one-time-adjustment, (preferably with color checker card) and the userspace can read again the new values. With this feature, the userspace can save the coefficients and reinstall them for example after reboot or reprobing the driver. This new control is used to select the desired profile for VP8 encoder and query for supported profiles by VP8 encoder/decoder. Though we have originally a control V4L2_CID_MPEG_VIDEO_VPX_PROFILE and its name contains 'VPX', it works only for VP8 because supported profiles usually differ between VP8 and VP9. In addition, this control cannot be used for querying since it is not a menu control but an integer control, which cannot return an arbitrary set of supported profiles. The new control V4L2_CID_MPEG_VIDEO_VP8_PROFILE is a menu control as with controls for other codec profiles. License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with a license Many user space API headers have licensing information, which is either incomplete, badly formatted or just a shorthand for referring to the license under which the file is supposed to be. This makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. Update these files with an SPDX license identifier. The identifier was chosen based on the license information in the file. GPL/LGPL licensed headers get the matching GPL/LGPL SPDX license identifier with the added 'WITH Linux-syscall-note' exception, which is the officially assigned exception identifier for the kernel syscall exception: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". This exception makes it possible to include GPL headers into non GPL code, without confusing license compliance tools. Headers which have either explicit dual licensing or are just licensed under a non GPL license are updated with the corresponding SPDX identifier and the GPLv2 with syscall exception identifier. The format is: ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR SPDX-ID-OF-OTHER-LICENSE) SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. The update does not remove existing license information as this has to be done on a case by case basis and the copyright holders might have to be consulted. This will happen in a separate step. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched. [media] v4l: reorganize RF tuner control ID numbers It appears that controls are ordered by ID number when enumerating. That could lead illogical UI as controls are usually enumerated and drawn by the application at runtime. Change order of controls by reorganizing assigned IDs now as we can. [media] v4l: add RF tuner channel bandwidth control Modern silicon RF tuners has one or more adjustable filters on signal path, in order to filter noise from desired radio channel. Add channel bandwidth control to tell the driver which is radio channel width we want receive. Filters could be then adjusted by the driver or hardware, using RF frequency and channel bandwidth as a base of filter calculations. On automatic mode (normal mode), bandwidth is calculated from sampling rate or tuning info got from userspace. That new control gives possibility to set manual mode and let user have more control for filters. [media] v4l: add RF tuner gain controls Modern silicon RF tuners used nowadays has many controllable gain stages on signal path. Usually, but not always, there is at least 3 gain stages. Also on some cases there could be multiple gain stages within the ones specified here. However, I think that having these three controllable gain stages offers enough fine-tuning for real use cases. 1) LNA gain. That is first gain just after antenna input. 2) Mixer gain. It is located quite middle of the signal path, where RF signal is down-converted to IF/BB. 3) IF gain. That is last gain in order to adjust output signal level to optimal level for receiving party (usually demodulator ADC). Each gain stage could be set rather often both manual or automatic (AGC) mode. Due to that add separate controls for controlling operation mode. Signed-off-by: Antti Palosaari <crope@iki.fi> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>

[media] v4l: ti-vpe: Add VPE mem to mem driver VPE is a block which consists of a single memory to memory path which can perform chrominance up/down sampling, de-interlacing, scaling, and color space conversion of raster or tiled YUV420 coplanar, YUV422 coplanar or YUV422 interleaved video formats. We create a mem2mem driver based primarily on the mem2mem-testdev example. The de-interlacer, scaler and color space converter are all bypassed for now to keep the driver simple. Chroma up/down sampler blocks are implemented, so conversion beteen different YUV formats is possible. Each mem2mem context allocates a buffer for VPE MMR values which it will use when it gets access to the VPE HW via the mem2mem queue, it also allocates a VPDMA descriptor list to which configuration and data descriptors are added. Based on the information received via v4l2 ioctls for the source and destination queues, the driver configures the values for the MMRs, and stores them in the buffer. There are also some VPDMA parameters like frame start and line mode which needs to be configured, these are configured by direct register writes via the VPDMA helper functions. The driver's device_run() mem2mem op will add each descriptor based on how the source and destination queues are set up for the given ctx, once the list is prepared, it's submitted to VPDMA, these descriptors when parsed by VPDMA will upload MMR registers, start DMA of video buffers on the various input and output clients/ports. When the list is parsed completely(and the DMAs on all the output ports done), an interrupt is generated which we use to notify that the source and destination buffers are done. The rest of the driver is quite similar to other mem2mem drivers, we use the multiplane v4l2 ioctls as the HW support coplanar formats.
