media: dvb: add DVB-C2 and DVB-S2X parameter values Extend the DVB frontend parameter enums with additional values specified by the DVB-C2 (ETSI EN 302 769) and DVB-S2X (ETSI EN 302 307-2) standards to be ready for frontend drivers for such receivers. While most parameters will be "read-only" due to being autodetected by the receiver and only being reported back for informational purposes, the addition of SYS_DVBC2 to the delivery systems enum is required, because there are DVB-C2 capable receivers which are not capable of DVB-C/C2 autodetection and thus need this enum value to be explicitly instructed to search for a DVB-C2 signal. As for DVB-S2X, as that is an extension to DVB-S2, the same delivery system enum as for DVB-S2 can be used. Add the additional enum values and comments to the documentation. media: dvb_frontend: add physical layer scrambling support This commit adds a new property DTV_SCRAMBLING_SEQUENCE_INDEX. This 18 bit field, when present, carries the index of the DVB-S2 physical layer scrambling sequence as defined in clause 5.5.4 of EN 302 307. There is no explicit signalling method to convey scrambling sequence index to the receiver. If S2 satellite delivery system descriptor is available it can be used to read the scrambling sequence index (EN 300 468 table 41). By default, gold scrambling sequence index 0 is used. The valid scrambling sequence index range is from 0 to 262142. Increase the DVB API version in order userspace to be aware of the changes. License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with a license Many user space API headers have licensing information, which is either incomplete, badly formatted or just a shorthand for referring to the license under which the file is supposed to be. This makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. Update these files with an SPDX license identifier. The identifier was chosen based on the license information in the file. GPL/LGPL licensed headers get the matching GPL/LGPL SPDX license identifier with the added 'WITH Linux-syscall-note' exception, which is the officially assigned exception identifier for the kernel syscall exception: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". This exception makes it possible to include GPL headers into non GPL code, without confusing license compliance tools. Headers which have either explicit dual licensing or are just licensed under a non GPL license are updated with the corresponding SPDX identifier and the GPLv2 with syscall exception identifier. The format is: ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR SPDX-ID-OF-OTHER-LICENSE) SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. The update does not remove existing license information as this has to be done on a case by case basis and the copyright holders might have to be consulted. This will happen in a separate step. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched. media: dvb_frontend: fix return values for FE_SET_PROPERTY There are several problems with regards to the return of FE_SET_PROPERTY. The original idea were to return per-property return codes via tvp->result field, and to return an updated set of values. However, that never worked. What's actually implemented is: - the FE_SET_PROPERTY implementation doesn't call .get_frontend callback in order to get the actual parameters after return; - the tvp->result field is only filled if there's no error. So, it is always filled with zero; - FE_SET_PROPERTY doesn't call memdup_user() nor any other copy_to_user() function. So, any changes to the properties will be lost; - FE_SET_PROPERTY is declared as a write-only ioctl (IOW). While we could fix the above, it could cause regressions. So, let's just assume what the code really does, updating the documentation accordingly and removing the logic that would update the discarded tvp->result.
