net: Convert some ethtool_sprintf() to ethtool_puts() This patch converts some basic cases of ethtool_sprintf() to ethtool_puts(). The conversions are used in cases where ethtool_sprintf() was being used with just two arguments: | ethtool_sprintf(&data, buffer[i].name); or when it's used with format string: "%s" | ethtool_sprintf(&data, "%s", buffer[i].name); which both now become: | ethtool_puts(&data, buffer[i].name); Signed-off-by: Justin Stitt <justinstitt@google.com> Reviewed-by: Wei Fang <wei.fang@nxp.com> Reviewed-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Reviewed-by: Louis Peens <louis.peens@corigine.com> Signed-off-by: David S. net: sparx5: replace deprecated strncpy with ethtool_sprintf strncpy() is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string interfaces. ethtool_sprintf() is designed specifically for get_strings() usage. Let's replace strncpy() in favor of this more robust and easier to understand interface. net: microchip: sparx5: Fix potential null-ptr-deref in sparx_stats_init() and sparx5_start() sparx_stats_init() calls create_singlethread_workqueue() and not checked the ret value, which may return NULL. And a null-ptr-deref may happen: sparx_stats_init() create_singlethread_workqueue() # failed, sparx5->stats_queue is NULL queue_delayed_work() queue_delayed_work_on() __queue_delayed_work() # warning here, but continue __queue_work() # access wq->flags, null-ptr-deref Check the ret value and return -ENOMEM if it is NULL. net: sparx5: Fix get_stat64 crash in tcpdump This problem was found with Sparx5 when the tcpdump tool requests the do_get_stats64 (sparx5_get_stats64) statistic. net: sparx5: add ethtool configuration and statistics support This adds statistic counters for the network interfaces provided by the driver. It also adds CPU port counters (which are not exposed by ethtool). This also adds support for configuring the network interface parameters via ethtool: speed, duplex, aneg etc. Signed-off-by: Steen Hegelund <steen.hegelund@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: Bjarni Jonasson <bjarni.jonasson@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: Lars Povlsen <lars.povlsen@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
