# 5b6d5aff 19-Nov-2021 Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>

lasi_82594: use eth_hw_addr_set()

dev_addr is set from IO reads, passed to an arch-specific helper.
Note that the helper never reads it so uninitialized temp is fine.

Fixes build on parisc.

# 87875c10 07-Aug-2021 Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de>

parisc: Make struct parisc_driver::remove() return void

The caller of this function (parisc_driver_remove() in
arch/parisc/kernel/drivers.c) ignores the return value, so better don't
return any value at all to not wake wrong expectations in driver authors.

The only function that could return a non-zero value before was
ipmi_parisc_remove() which returns the return value of
ipmi_si_remove_by_dev(). Make this function return void, too, as for all
other callers the value is ignored, too.

Also fold in a small checkpatch fix for:

WARNING: Unnecessary space before function pointer arguments
+ void (*remove) (struct parisc_device *dev);

# 00718b23 01-Sep-2020 Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>

lib82596: convert to dma_alloc_noncoherent

Use the new non-coherent DMA API including proper ownership transfers.
This includes moving the DMA helpers to lib82596 based of an ifdef to
avoid include order problems.

# 48d15814 17-Aug-2020 Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>

lib82596: move DMA allocation into the callers of i82596_probe

This allows us to get rid of the LIB82596_DMA_ATTR defined and prepare
for untangling the coherent vs non-coherent DMA allocation API.

# 61c1d33d 15-Oct-2019 Thomas Bogendoerfer <tbogendoerfer@suse.de>

net: i82596: fix dma_alloc_attr for sni_82596

Commit 7f683b920479 ("i825xx: switch to switch to dma_alloc_attrs")
switched dma allocation over to dma_alloc_attr, but didn't convert
the SNI part to request consistent DMA memory. This broke sni_82596
since driver doesn't do dma_cache_sync for performance reasons.
Fix this by using different DMA_ATTRs for lasi_82596 and sni_82596.

# 7f683b92 14-Jun-2017 Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>

i825xx: switch to switch to dma_alloc_attrs

This way we can always pass DMA_ATTR_NON_CONSISTENT, the SNI mips version
will simply ignore the flag.

# a81ab36b 08-Jan-2014 Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which
has been submitted separately.

markings will be going away.

i825xx: Move the Intel 82586/82593/82596 based drivers

Move the drivers that use the i82586/i82593/i82596 chipsets into
drivers/net/ethernet/i825xx/ and make the necessary Kconfig and
Makefile changes. There were 4 3Com drivers which were initially
moved into 3com/, which now reside in i825xx since they all used
the i82586 chip.
