mmc: mmc_test: Remove local_irq_{save,restore}() around sg_copy_{from,to}_buffer() sg_copy_{from,to}_buffer() call sg_copy_buffer() which uses an sg_mapping_iter with flag SG_MITER_ATOMIC, so then sg_miter_next() uses kmap_atomic() to map pages. A long time ago the kmap_atomic API required a slot to be provided which risked the possibility that other code might use the same slot at the same time. Disabling interrupts prevented the possibility of an interrupt handler doing that. However, that went away with commit 3e4d3af501cc ("mm: stack based kmap_atomic()"). include/linux/mm.h: move nr_free_buffer_pages from swap.h to mm.h nr_free_buffer_pages could be exposed through mm.h instead of swap.h. The advantage of this change is that it can reduce the obsolete includes. For example, net/ipv4/tcp.c wouldn't need swap.h any more since it has already included mm.h. Similarly, after checking all the other files, it comes that tcp.c, udp.c meter.c ,... follow the same rule, so these files can have swap.h removed too. Moreover, after preprocessing all the files that use nr_free_buffer_pages, it turns out that those files have already included mm.h.Thus, we can move nr_free_buffer_pages from swap.h to mm.h safely. This change will not affect the compilation of other files. mmc: mmc_test: use erase_arg for mmc_erase command Since [1], the erase argument for mmc_erase() function is saved in erase_arg field of card structure. It is preferable to use it instead of hard-coded MMC_SECURE_ERASE_ARG, which from eMMC 4.51 spec is not recommended: "6.6.16 Secure Erase NOTE Secure Erase is included for backwards compatibility. New system level implementations (based on v4.51 devices and beyond) should use Erase combined with Sanitize instead of secure erase." On STM32MP157C-EV1 board, embedding a THGBMDG5D1LBAIL eMMC, using MMC_ERASE command with MMC_SECURE_ERASE_ARG may stuck the STM32 SDMMC IP, if test 37 or test 38 are launched just after a write test, e.g. test 36. Using the default MMC_ERASE argument from framework with erase_arg, which default in our case to MMC_DISCARD_ARG does no more trig the issue. mmc: use empty initializer list to zero-clear structures In the MMC subsystem, we see such initializers that only clears the first member explicitly. For example, struct mmc_request mrq = {NULL}; sets the first member (.sbc) to NULL explicitly. However, this is an unstable form because we may insert a non-pointer member at the top of the struct mmc_request in the future. (if we do so, the compiler will spit warnings.) So, using a designated initializer is preferred coding style. The expression above is equivalent to: struct mmc_request mrq = { .sbc = NULL }; Of course, this does not express our intention. We want to fill all struct members with zeros. Please note struct members are implicitly zero-cleared unless otherwise specified in the initializer. After all, the most reasonable (and stable) form is: struct mmc_request mrq = {}; Do likewise for mmc_command, mmc_data as well. mmc: block: Move files to core Once upon a time it made sense to keep the mmc block device driver and its related code, in its own directory called card. Over time, more an more functions/structures have become shared through generic mmc header files, between the core and the card directory. In other words, the relationship between them has become closer. By sharing functions/structures via generic header files, it becomes easy for outside users to abuse them. In a way to avoid that from happen, let's move the files from card directory into the core directory, as it enables us to move definitions of functions/structures into mmc core specific header files. Note, this is only the first step in providing a cleaner mmc interface for outside users. Following changes will do the actual cleanup, as that is not part of this change.
