mmc: Add quirk MMC_QUIRK_BROKEN_CACHE_FLUSH for Micron eMMC Q2J54A

Micron MTFC4GACAJCN eMMC supports cache but requires that flush cache
operation be allowed only after a write has occurred. Otherwise, the
cache flush command or subsequent commands will time out.

mmc: Add MMC_QUIRK_BROKEN_SD_CACHE for Kingston Canvas Go Plus from 11/2019

This microSD card never clears Flush Cache bit after cache flush has
been started in sd_flush_cache(). This leads e.g. to failure to mount
file system. Add a quirk which disables the SD cache for this specific
card from specific manufacturing date of 11/2019, since on newer dated
cards from 05/2023 the cache flush works correctly.

mmc: core: Add SD card quirk for broken discard

Some SD-cards from Sandisk that are SDA-6.0 compliant reports they supports
discard, while they actually don't. This might cause mk2fs to fail while
trying to format the card and revert it to a read-only mode.

To fix this problem, let's add a card quirk (MMC_QUIRK_BROKEN_SD_DISCARD)
to indicate that we shall fall-back to use the legacy erase command
instead.

mmc: core: transplant ti,wl1251 quirks from to be retired omap_hsmmc

The TiWi WL1251 WiFi chip needs special setup of the sdio
interface before it can be probed.

So far, this is done in omap_hsmmc_init_card() in omap_hsmmc.c
which makes it useable only if connected to omap devices
which use the omap_hsmmc. The OpenPandora is the most promient
example.

There are plans to switch to a newer sdhci-omap driver and
retire omap_hsmmc. Hence this quirk must be reworked or moved
somewhere else. Ideally to some location that is not dependent
on the specific SoC mmc host driver.

This is achieved by the new mmc_fixup_device() option introduced
by ("mmc: allow to match the device tree to apply quirks") to match
through device tree compatible string.

This quirk will be called early right after where host->ops->init_card()
and thus omap_hsmmc_init_card() was previously called.

Note that we do not need to transplant

card->ocr = 0x80;

because we rely on ("mmc: core: Fixup storing of OCR for MMC_QUIRK_NONSTD_SDIO").

mmc: core: provide macro and table to match the device tree to apply quirks

This (initially empty) table allows to match quirks early based
on .compatible of the child node of some mmc/sdio interface.

This allows to add quirks based on device tree instead of having
card specific code in the host ops.

A new macro SDIO_FIXUP_COMPATIBLE makes the definition readable.

And we call mmc_fixup_device(sdio_card_init_methods) just after
where host->ops->init_card() can be optionally called.

mmc: core: allow to match the device tree to apply quirks

MMC subsystem provides a way to apply quirks when a device match some
properties (VID, PID, etc...) Unfortunately, some SDIO devices do not
comply with the SDIO specification and does not provide reliable VID/PID
(eg. Silabs WF200).

So, the drivers for these devices rely on device tree to identify the
device.

This patch allows the MMC to also rely on the device tree to apply a
quirk.

mmc: core: Cleanup BKOPS support

It's been ~6 years ago since we introduced the BKOPS support for eMMC
cards. The current code is a bit messy and primarily that's because it
prepares to support running BKOPS in an asynchronous mode. However, that
mode has never been fully implemented/enabled. Instead BKOPS is always
executed in synchronously, when the card has reported an urgent BKOPS
level.

For these reasons, let's make the code more readable by dropping the unused
parts. Let's also rename mmc_start_bkops() to mmc_run_bkops(), as to make
it more descriptive.

To get an usdhc Apacer and some ATP SD cards work reliable, CMD23 needs
to be disabled. This has been tested on i.MX6 (sdhci-esdhc) and rk3288
(dw_mmc-rockchip).

Without this patch on i.MX6 (sdhci-esdhc):

mmc: core: Move public functions from card.h to private headers

A significant amount of functions and other definitions are available
through the public mmc card.h header file. Let's slim down this public mmc
interface, as to prevent users from abusing it, by moving some of the
functions/definitions to private mmc header files.

This change concentrates on moving the functions into private mmc headers,
following changes may continue with additional clean-ups.
