# c88090df 01-Aug-2019 Oliver Neukum <oneukum@suse.com>

Input: kbtab - sanity check for endpoint type

The driver should check whether the endpoint it uses has the correct
type.

# 09c434b8 19-May-2019 Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>

treewide: Add SPDX license identifier for more missed files

Add SPDX license identifiers to all files which:

- Have no license information of any form

- Have MODULE_LICENCE("GPL*") inside which was used in the initial
scan/conversion to ignore the file

These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX
license identifier is:

GPL-2.0-only

# 698c03b4 16-Jan-2018 Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr>

Input: inline macros for MODULE_LICENSE, etc

Inline macro for MODULE_LICENSE to make the license information easy to
find, eg with grep. Inline the other module-related macros at the same
time.

A simplified version of the semantic patch for the MODULE_LICENSE
case is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)

// <smpl>
@s@
identifier i; expression e;
@@

@@
declarer name MODULE_LICENSE;
identifier s.i;
expression s.e;
@@
MODULE_LICENSE(
- i
+ e
);

# 9f1d1ea3 16-Jan-2018 Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

Input: remove unneeded DRIVER_LICENSE #defines

There is no need to #define the license of the driver, just put it in
the MODULE_LICENSE() line directly as a text string.

This allows tools that check that the module license matches the source
code license to work properly, as there is no need to unwind the
unneeded dereference. For some of these drivers, the #define is just a
few lines above the MODULE_LICENSE() line, which is extra pointless.

# 95ac4cb0 07-Aug-2017 Arvind Yadav <arvind.yadav.cs@gmail.com>

Input: kbtab - constify usb_device_id

usb_device_id are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions
working with usb_device_id provided by <linux/usb.h> work with
const usb_device_id. So mark the non-const structs as const.

# bf9a9f8e 06-Jan-2014 Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

Input: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

USB: input: kbtab.c: fix up dev_* messages

Previously I had made the struct device point to the input device, but
after talking with Dmitry, he said that the USB device would make more
sense for this driver to point to. So converted it to use that instead.

be used. This patch removes it from being used in the driver
and uses dev_dbg() instead.

device. Fix up the places where I got this wrong.

# 08642e7c 18-Nov-2011 Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

USB: convert drivers/input/* to use module_usb_driver()

This converts the drivers in drivers/input/* to use the
module_usb_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit
simpler.

Added bonus is that it removes some unneeded kernel log messages about
drivers loading and/or unloading.

USB: rename usb_buffer_alloc() and usb_buffer_free() users

For more clearance what the functions actually do,

usb_buffer_alloc() is renamed to usb_alloc_coherent()
usb_buffer_free() is renamed to usb_free_coherent()

They should only be used in code which really needs DMA coherency.

All call sites have been changed accordingly, except for staging
drivers.

# f3192090 20-Apr-2010 Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>

Input: kbtab - do not advertise unsupported events

The device does not emit EV_MSC/MSC_SERIAL nor EV_KEY/BTN_MIDDLE events
so it should not mark them as supported in capabilities bitmaps. This
still leaves BTN_TOOL_PEN and BTN_TOUCH events being processed in a funky
manner.

interface; if it isn't and we are called we have much bigger problems.
