Input: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe() After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. Input: drv2667 - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr() SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings. Input: drv2667 - fix misuse of regmap_update_bits Using regmap_update_bits(..., mask, 1) with 'mask' following (1 << k) and k greater than 0 is wrong. Indeed, _regmap_update_bits will perform (mask & 1), which results in 0 if LSB of mask is 0. Thus the call regmap_update_bits(..., mask, 1) is in reality equivalent to regmap_update_bits(..., mask, 0). In such a case, the correct use is regmap_update_bits(..., mask, mask). This driver is performing such a mistake with the DRV2667_STANDBY mask, which equals (1 << 6). Fix the driver to make it consistent with the API, and fix the alignment problem at the same time. Please note that this change is untested, as I do not have this piece of hardware. Testers are welcome! regmap: Use reg_sequence for multi_reg_write / register_patch Separate the functionality using sequences of register writes from the functions that take register defaults. This change renames the arguments in order to support the extension of reg_sequence to take an optional delay to be applied after any given register in a sequence is written. This avoids adding an int to all register defaults, which could substantially increase memory usage for regmaps with large default tables. Input: add support for the DRV2667 haptic driver Adding support for the DRV2667 haptic driver. This device has the ability to store vibration patterns in RAM and execute them once the GO bit is set. The initial driver sets a basic waveform in the first waveform sequence and will play the waveform when the GO bit is set and will continously play the waveform until the GO bit is unset.
