x86/pci: Rename 'MMCONFIG' to 'ECAM', use pr_fmt The "MMCONFIG" term is not used in PCI/PCIe specs. Replace it with "ECAM", the term used in PCIe r6.0, sec 7.2.2. ACPI: Clean up inclusions of ACPI header files Replace direct inclusions of <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and <acpi/acpi_drivers.h>, which are incorrect, with <linux/acpi.h> inclusions and remove some inclusions of those files that aren't necessary. First of all, <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and <acpi/acpi_drivers.h> should not be included directly from any files that are built for CONFIG_ACPI unset, because that generally leads to build warnings about undefined symbols in !CONFIG_ACPI builds. For CONFIG_ACPI set, <linux/acpi.h> includes those files and for CONFIG_ACPI unset it provides stub ACPI symbols to be used in that case. Second, there are ordering dependencies between those files that always have to be met. Namely, it is required that <acpi/acpi_bus.h> be included prior to <acpi/acpi_drivers.h> so that the acpi_pci_root declarations the latter depends on are always there. And <acpi/acpi.h> which provides basic ACPICA type declarations should always be included prior to any other ACPI headers in CONFIG_ACPI builds. That also is taken care of including <linux/acpi.h> as appropriate. X86: drivers: remove __dev* attributes. CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. x86/PCI: MMCONFIG: use a private structure rather than the ACPI MCFG one This adds a struct pci_mmcfg_region with a little more information than the struct acpi_mcfg_allocation used previously. The acpi_mcfg structure is defined by the spec, so we can't change it. To begin with, struct pci_mmcfg_region is basically the same as the ACPI MCFG version, but future patches will add more information. Change pci_raw_ops to pci_raw_read/write We want to allow different implementations of pci_raw_ops for standard and extended config space on x86. Rather than clutter generic code with knowledge of this, we make pci_raw_ops private to x86 and use it to implement the new raw interface -- raw_pci_read() and raw_pci_write(). PCI x86: always use conf1 to access config space below 256 bytes Thanks to Loic Prylli <loic@myri.com>, who originally proposed this idea. Always using legacy configuration mechanism for the legacy config space and extended mechanism (mmconf) for the extended config space is a simple and very logical approach. It's supposed to resolve all known mmconf problems. It still allows per-device quirks (tweaking dev->cfg_size). It also allows to get rid of mmconf fallback code.
