Make BAboutWindow modal * Set its type to B_MODAL_WINDO, and also set B_NOT_MOVABLE * Since this removes the window tab, add an "Ok" button to close the window * Remove the GetWindow mess and just use it as any regular window * Adjust all callers again The AlertPosition method doesn't seem to work right, the window pops up offset to the right. I also noticed that some of our calls to BAboutWindow are actually not reacable because we removed Abutrequested from the apps. Maybe we should clean them up (locale preflet and activity monitor are examples) More annoying is the fact that opening a modal window from a deskbar replicant is modal against the whole deskbar. Not sure what to do about that.

Fix BAboutWindow lifecycle BAboutWindow returned false in QuitRequested in order to hide instead of closing. Not only this keeps a BLooper running for a rarely used window, but it also prevents quitting an application in the window was not destroyed first. * Remove aforementioned QuitRequested method, * Add a static GetWindow method that returns the existing about window, if there is one, or creates one if there is not. A boolean can be set to tell the caller what happened, * Adjust all callers to use that new method, instead of managing the window themselves.

Add Deskbar clock settings to Time Preferences * Added a new Clock tab to the Time preflet. Added Clock related controls there. They all function by communicating with Deskbar. * Put controls in a BBox controlled by the Show clock checkbox. This more clearly shows that all the clock settings are dependent on the show clock setting since it doesn't matter what your clock settings are if you don't show the clock. * Make revert work. * Split clock settings into it's own file and struct. * Re-add the time zone setting. * Remove the clock settings from the Deskbar preference window, they are in Time now. * Make Locale preferences accepts B_LOCALE_CHANGED message, although not used.

Instead of destroying the BAboutWindow object on close, Hide() it, then on the destructor of the calling window call Quit() explicitly to destroy it.

Use a quit bool in B_ABOUT_REQUESTED to indicate that the about window has quit instead of using kAboutWindowClosed message. This prevents message signature clashes.

Set the about window object to NULL on close or quit. Pass the BHandler object that opened the about window to BAboutWindow. When the window closes, send a kAboutWindowClosed message back to the handler. This allows the handler to set the variable to NULL. Implement the new about dialog constructor in all apps that use it. Remove the old constructor. This now works reliably for all cases I tested without crashing and does the right thing on close. The setup and teardown is a bit more complicated than I wanted though. Unfortunately this seems to be necessary when not using a BAlert. Fetching the app icon does not work reliably yet. This is because for replicants the app may not be running. I may have to pass the icon in instead of grabbing it from the signature.

More catalog-related cleanup. * rename B_TRANSLATE_CONTEXT to B_TRANSLATION_CONTEXT and B_TRANSLATE_WITH_CONTEXT to B_TRANSLATE_CONTEXT, squashing a TODO * adjust all uses of both macros in Haiku's source tree * use correct header guard for collecting/Catalog.h The renamed macros require adjustments to all external applications using catalogs.

Introducing a Locale option to display localized filesystem entries (primarily apps and folders) in Deskbar, Tracker, etc. Making use of this in Deskbar's list of apps. One more monster commit (sorry ...) concerning the Locale Kit: * extracted new class BFormattingConventions from BCountry, which manages the formatting conventions from a given locale and allows to get/set the four different date/time formats supported by ICU-locales as well as number and monetary formats * overhauled the Locale preflet: + drop editing features for all formats, since I don't think they do not make much sense to have in a prefs GUI - being able to select from the existing locales should be good enough. Please note that you can still change the formats programmatically in an application. + renamed the 'Countries' tab to 'Formatting' + the locale formatting conventions list in the 'Formatting' tab is now hierarchical for easier access (less scrolling) + fixed functionality of 'Revert' and 'Defaults' buttons + added support for using the month/day-names of your preferred language during date formatting * adjusted BLocale to ask BFormattingConventions for the current formats when formatting dates and times and to offer 4 different format styles (full, long, medium and short). * adjust all classes formatting dates/times to pick the appropriate format style * BLocaleRoster no longer directly archives/unarchives the individual formatting conventions but delegates that to BFormattingConventions git-svn-id: file:///srv/svn/repos/haiku/haiku/trunk@39123 a95241bf-73f2-0310-859d-f6bbb57e9c96
