Remove the arm KERNPHYSADDR option as it is no longer used. The make
option is still in existance as it is used to build the trampoline code.

Clean up the ARM kernel configs to use 'include<space><tab>"file"'.

Create std.arm and std.armv6 config files and include the right one from
each of the existing kernel configs. This gives a place to put config
that applies to the entire arch.

Add the ARM_NEW_PMAP option to std.armv6. This is working well in early
testing and it's time for wide exposure, but it's still nice to be able
to fall back to the old implementation for testing when a problem comes
along. Eventually the option and the old implementation will go away.

The opportunity now exists to move a whole lot of boilerplate from all the
arm kernel config files into std.arm*, but that's a commit for another day.

Remove "New" label from NFSCL/NFSD now that they are the only NFS
client/server. While here, remove duplicate NFSCL from sys/conf/NOTES.

In kernel config files, it is supposed to be 'options<space><tab>' not
'options<tab><tab>', per long standing (but recently not so strictly
enforced) convention.

Make all the comments '# ' and align to same column. This fixes the
rampently incosnsitent usage which made cut and paste from one file
to another look ugly.

Strip arm/conf/DEFAULTS down to just items that are mandatory for running
the architecture. Move the other contents into each of the individual
config files.

Remove STARTUP_PAGETABLE_ADDR from the ARM configs and replace it with
memory at the end of the kernel.

This helps reduce the SoC and board specific configuration required.

Decouple yarrow from random(4) device.

* Make Yarrow an optional kernel component -- enabled by "YARROW_RNG" option.
The files sha2.c, hash.c, randomdev_soft.c and yarrow.c comprise yarrow.

* random(4) device doesn't really depend on rijndael-*. Yarrow, however, does.

* Add random_adaptors.[ch] which is basically a store of random_adaptor's.
random_adaptor is basically an adapter that plugs in to random(4).
random_adaptor can only be plugged in to random(4) very early in bootup.
Unplugging random_adaptor from random(4) is not supported, and is probably a
bad idea anyway, due to potential loss of entropy pools.
We currently have 3 random_adaptors:
+ yarrow
+ rdrand (ivy.c)
+ nehemeiah

* Remove platform dependent logic from probe.c, and move it into
corresponding registration routines of each random_adaptor provider.
probe.c doesn't do anything other than picking a specific random_adaptor
from a list of registered ones.

* If the kernel doesn't have any random_adaptor adapters present then the
creation of /dev/random is postponed until next random_adaptor is kldload'ed.

* Fix randomdev_soft.c to refer to its own random_adaptor, instead of a
system wide one.

Remove pty(4) from our kernel configurations.

As of FreeBSD 8, this driver should not be used. Applications that use
posix_openpt(2) and openpty(3) use the pts(4) that is built into the
kernel unconditionally. If it turns out high profile depend on the
pty(4) module anyway, I'd rather get those fixed. So please report any
issues to me.

The pty(4) module is still available as a kernel module of course, so a
simple `kldload pty' can be used to run old-style pseudo-terminals.

- Import the common MII bitbang'ing code from NetBSD and convert drivers to
take advantage of it instead of duplicating it. This reduces the size of
the i386 GENERIC kernel by about 4k. The only potential in-tree user left
unconverted is xe(4), which generally should be changed to use miibus(4)
instead of implementing PHY handling on its own, as otherwise it makes not
much sense to add a dependency on miibus(4)/mii_bitbang(4) to xe(4) just
for the MII bitbang'ing code. The common MII bitbang'ing code also is
useful in the embedded space for using GPIO pins to implement MII access.
- Based on lessons learnt with dc(4) (see r185750), add bus barriers to the
MII bitbang read and write functions of the other drivers converted in
order to ensure the intended ordering. Given that register access via an
index register as well as register bank/window switching is subject to the
same problem, also add bus barriers to the respective functions of smc(4),
tl(4) and xl(4).
- Sprinkle some const.

Change all the sample kernel configurations to use
NFSCL, NFSD instead of NFSCLIENT, NFSSERVER since
NFSCL and NFSD are now the defaults. The client change is
needed for diskless configurations, so that the root
mount works for fstype nfs.

Add the options DEADLKRES (introducing the deadlock resolver thread) in
the 'debugging' section of any HEAD kernel and enable for the mainstream

Add arm/conf/DEFAULTS and populate it with:

Remove the first two from all kernel configuration files and
change geom_bsd and geom_mbr from standard to optional.

Support for the XScale PXA255 SoC as found on the Gumstix Basix and Connex
boards. This is enough to net-boot to multiuser.

Also supported is the SMSC LAN91C111 parts used on the netCF, netDUO and netMMC
add-on boards.

I'll be putting some instructions on how to boot this on the Gumstix boards
online soon.

This is still fairly rough and will be refined over time but I felt it was
better to get this out there where other people can help out.
