1This is the buildsystem for the OpenWrt Linux distribution. 2 3Please use "make menuconfig" to configure your appreciated 4configuration for the toolchain and firmware. 5 6You need to have installed gcc, binutils, bzip2, flex, python, perl, make, 7find, grep, diff, unzip, gawk, getopt, subversion, libz-dev and libc headers. 8 9Run "./scripts/feeds update -a" to get all the latest package definitions 10defined in feeds.conf / feeds.conf.default respectively 11and "./scripts/feeds install -a" to install symlinks of all of them into 12package/feeds/. 13 14Use "make menuconfig" to configure your image. 15 16Simply running "make" will build your firmware. 17It will download all sources, build the cross-compile toolchain, 18the kernel and all choosen applications. 19 20You can use "scripts/flashing/flash.sh" for remotely updating your embedded 21system via tftp. 22 23The OpenWrt system is documented in docs/. You will need a LaTeX distribution 24and the tex4ht package to build the documentation. Type "make -C docs/" to build it. 25 26To build your own firmware you need to have access to a Linux, BSD or MacOSX system 27(case-sensitive filesystem required). Cygwin will not be supported because of 28the lack of case sensitiveness in the file system. 29 30 31Sunshine! 32 Your OpenWrt Project 33 http://openwrt.org 34 35 36
