Therefore, even when 16 running on a 64-bit host system, Sourcery CodeBench requires 32-bit 17 host libraries. If these libraries are not already installed on your 18 system, you must install them before installing and using Sourcery CodeBench Lite. 19 Consult your operating system documentation for more information about 20 obtaining these libraries. 21 </p><div class="caution" style="margin-left: 0.5in; margin-right: 0.5in;"><h3 class="title">Installing on Ubuntu and Debian GNU/Linux Hosts</h3><p> 22 The Sourcery CodeBench graphical installer is incompatible with the 23 <code class="command">dash</code> shell, which is the default 24 <code class="filename">/bin/sh</code> for recent releases of the 25 Ubuntu and Debian GNU/Linux distributions. To install 26 Sourcery CodeBench Lite on these systems, you must make 27 <code class="filename">/bin/sh</code> a symbolic link to one of the 28 supported shells: 29 <code class="command">bash</code>, 30 <code class="command">csh</code>, 31 <code class="command">tcsh</code>, 32 <code class="command">zsh</code>, 33 or <code class="command">ksh</code>. 34 </p><p> 35 For example, on Ubuntu systems, the recommended way to do this 36 is: 37</p><pre class="screen">> sudo dpkg-reconfigure -plow dash 38Install as /bin/sh? No</pre><p> 39 </p><p> 40 This is a limitation of the installer and uninstaller only, 41 not of the installed Sourcery CodeBench Lite toolchain. 42 </p></div></div><div class="section" lang="en"><div class="titlepage"><div><div><h3 class="title"><a name="id521770"></a>2.2.2.�Host Hardware Requirements</h3></div></div></div><p> 43 In order to install and use Sourcery CodeBench Lite, you must have at least 512MB 44 of available memory. 45 </p><p> 46 The amount of disk space required for a complete Sourcery CodeBench Lite 47 installation directory depends on the host operating system 48 and the number of target libraries included. 49 <span> 50 When you start the graphical installer, it checks whether there is 51 sufficient disk space before beginning to install.
