Therefore, this commit adds a new helper function in the System Controller driver to set the secondary CPU boot address. This patch aims to add an initial support for imx7ulp. Note that we need configure power mode to Partial Stop mode 3 with system/bus clock enabled first as the default enabled STOP mode will gate off system/bus clock when execute WFI in MX7ULP SoC. And there's still no MXC_CPU_IMX7ULP IDs read from register as ULP has no anatop as before. So we encode one with 0xff in reverse order in case new ones will be in the future. This is done by specifying "dsa" for the given port in the port array. - The dsa platform data needs to be extended with information on via which port to reach any given switch chip from any given switch chip. This info is specified via the per-switch chip data struct ->rtable[] array, which gives the nexthop ports for each of the other switches in the tree. H A D | reboot.h | diff 7a54f46b Wed Apr 15 17:16:53 MDT 2015 Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au> kernel/reboot.c: add orderly_reboot for graceful reboot The kernel has orderly_poweroff which allows the kernel to initiate a graceful shutdown of userspace, by running /sbin/poweroff. This adds orderly_reboot that will cause userspace to shut itself down by calling /sbin/reboot. This will be used for shutdown initiated by a system controller on platforms that do not use ACPI. orderly_reboot() should be used when the system wants to allow userspace to gracefully shut itself down. For cases where the system may imminently catch on fire, the existing emergency_restart() provides an immediate reboot without involving userspace. Biederman <ebiederm@xmission.com> [PATCH] Add emergency_restart() When the kernel is working well and we want to restart cleanly kernel_restart is the function to use. But in many instances the kernel wants to reboot when thing are expected to be working very badly such as from panic or a software watchdog handler. This patch adds the function emergency_restart() so that callers can be clear what semantics they expect when calling restart. emergency_restart() is expected to be callable from interrupt context and possibly reliable in even more trying circumstances. This is bad because a SPI board info may declare devices for different SPI buses, and because other code can also call spi_register_board_info() (e.g. a daughter board might provide additional SPI devices). This patch removes the spi_register_board_info() call from da8xx_register_spi(), renames this last one to da8xx_register_spi_bus() to be more explicit, takes the number of chipselect as a function parameter, and updates the impacted board-da8{3,5}0-evm.c, and board-mityomapl138.c files accordingly. It also sets the SPI platform data static, as it doesn't need to be exported.
